Winter and Snow, in Genting

I know, I know, I had just went Genting only a few weeks ago and now I am tempted to go once more!!!!

You can never get sick of the place or at least I WILL NEVER get sick of GENTING!!!
It's like how you can go to the same place over and over again to play, eat or shop.
So why not Genting too?

I seriously miss the weather there!
The cooling air and the occasionally fog at night which make the temperature even more cooling.
With the weather getting hotter an hotter these days, you can never get the same cooling weather in Singapore like Genting.
The heat is draining off all my energy!!!

I MISS GENTING ALREADY!!!
Just bring me there please.
The food, the theme park, the everything and yes the AIR & WIND!!

http://www.cookieologic.com/p/travelogue.html << Find my previous Genting's travelogue here!

With Genting's Snow World recently renovated, it brings you winter and snow along with the cold air to Genting.

The last time I went, was back in 2004 with the school for a Chinese Orchestra competition.
(ps. can't find the photo though. :( )

For all-year-summer countries like us, Singapore and Malaysia we don't get to have winter and not to mention SNOW!!!!
All we can do to have it is to visit places like SNOW WORLD!!!

credits from http://ohfishiee.blogspot.sg/

You can't stop me, cause I haven't been to Snow World since 8 YEARS and the last time I went (few weeks ago) IT WAS UNDER RENOVATION!!

Or!!!! GO OVERSEAS!!!
Those countries with 4 seasons? Enjoy and experience their Winter~
Somehow, partly because of the season, whenever I travel, it's always Winter.
Korea, China, Australia and even Taiwan.
I was so excited to see the amount of snow in Korea, and not to mention get to ski, and taste the snow dropping from the sky. LITERALLY.
Just stood there, facing upwards, opening my mouth, sticking my tongue out.

back in December 2008 - Korea

The thing about winter countries, we need WINTER CLOTHES, and all this winter clothes are useless in Singapore.
So, all we can do is to keep them in our cupboard :(

If only we could dress up in Winter wear in Singapore, WINTER PLEASE COME.
Here's my take of Winter Fashion and a peek of my winter clothes!! :)

First, some Fashion shows collection that I would like to own and wear or seems interesting.

and let's not forget my share of WINTER CLOTHES.
Sad news, I couldn't find my winter coat, and waking my mum up to find it, is crazy.
BUT... I got a few autumn/winter dresses from my dear friend, Precious in Korea.
It won't be enough for winter, but with a coat and the inner wear it should make it right.

Long sleeves, jackets, coats, scarfs, gloves...

This outfit is mine though, bought the top for the trip to Korea.

Yes, I just went but like I said at the top of the post, I really would love to go again, and again, and again.
Not to mention, there will be a few bloggers that I want to meet that are going,
PLUS... a few of the bloggers that I personally known or got to known are trying for this trip too.
Isn't it wonderful if we can all go together? We can bond even more and be better friends!!!

I still need a getaway from the HEAT in Singapore!!!!

Don't wait!!!

Genting Trip : Part III - The Final

Here's the final part of Genting Trip.
Thanks Nuffnang and Genting. I am seriously grateful for this trip.

Here's Lunch for Day 2.

We had Chinese cuisine at Ming Ren Restuarant. (Highlands Hotel, Level 2)
Highly recommended!!!!
Miyo was saying all about it so we decided to go on Day 2.

FOOD WAS AWESOME I TELL YOU!
We spend 400++RM for the 6 of us, T-O-T-A-L-L-Y WORTH IT!!!

Their speciality is actually goat, but most of us don't eat it so we didn't order.
However, their fish are great too!!

We had light dinner as our spa schedule was at 8pm and we you are not suppose to go Spa and Massage with a heavy tummy.
Better to go at least one hour after you have eaten.

The Bakery (Maxims Genting, Lobby Floor)

The macarons are big and dreammmmmehhhhh.

spa was awesome, like seriously.
I had balinese message and green tea scrub.
I felt a little embarrassing and awkward but was so enjoying the massage that I forgot everything.

M Spa & Fitness http://www.mspa.com.my/

We went for Supper/Dinner after Spa at Coffee Terrace again.
Most of the 24 hours cafes/restaurants are based in the Casino itself, but you can't enter unless you are above 21.

Coffee Terrace are one of the few that opened till late. 5.30am to be exact.

I was so hungry and this was so delicious, I ate two set of the Salmon.

Genting Trip. Part II - Theme Park

Here's the 2nd part of the Genting trip!!
Once again, thanks Nuffnang and Genting for the 3D2N sponsored trip.

Part II is image heavy, mainly because we went to the theme park on Day 2 and BF took lots of photos :)
Am so happy that he enjoyed himself there and helping us to take so many photos without complaining once. Thank you.

Part II will be all about the Theme Park!!!
I won't have much to type I guess as the photos will tell you all what happened.

Camera, Position, GIF.

I really couldn't stop making GIF and the photos I have are so for making GIF.

So here's another one of the Genting trip.

Genting Trip. Part I

Here's the extended version of the Genting trip :)

Thanks to Nuffnang and Genting, I got to spend a weekend there with my bf!
To be honest, I was waiting for the call the entire week and am super excited about it.
Especially since I graduated now, I need a short getaway!!

I couldn't sleep the day before, and spend most of the time rolling on my bed.
Not forgetting packing my luggage really last minute, which I shouldn't do it in the future.
Was glad that Daddy fetched us to the pick up point @ Golden Mile, otherwise I will be real late.

It was funny.
On our way there, there was a 5 Stars Coach passing by us, so I make a remark about saying maybe it's our ride to Genting jokingly.
and Tadah, it was really the exact same coach that we are going to be in.
The bus number was too easy to forget, 9299.
(on a side note, why are their coach number with lots of 9. The returning one was 9399)
Yeah, and I think dad went to buy 4D with the number.

I was afraid that I didn't know anyone else on the trip and need to mingle around but was glad to find people I know going, and obviously forming a group hanging out together in Genting.
Got to know Miyo was going through twitter and found Cindy and Evalee there on the day, and
PHEW, friends.

2011.07.29 JB and A&W

No class on Friday, so went to JB with some of them for some A&W :)

Dee, Pjie, Jinkee, Alfred, Tonton and I.

Met up with Alfred, and headed down to Kranji to meet Jinkee, was suppose to meet Tonton on the way, but we were earlier so headed down to Kranji instead.
Changed some RM there, before heading to the checkpoint.

My phone's home button is a totally gone case, I can't even press at all.
So, all I can do is to turn it off and on again, so I can switch in betweens apps.

Starhub rocks, by the way, all the way at Jusco, and I still have my connection :)

Meet up with Dee and Pjie at the checkpoint and then got over to Jusco for A&W.

while waiting for the bus there

Jusco practically looked like our IKEA+GIANT, the one at tamp?
Even the carpark reminds me of that.

and Jinkee practically run from the entrance to the A&W.

Anyway, A&W was such a disappointment.
The machine was spoilt, no ROOT BEER.

HOW CAN A&W HAVE NO ROOTBEER. :(
got ice milo instead. damn saddening.

Their ice cream waffles aint any good too.
We ordered like 4?
The first one, the waffle was super super soft, it's not even crispy, and the ice cream are already melting in process.

Look at the ice cream, this is what it's like when it was serve to us.

jinkee and the waffle monster.

After the 1st one, they got the new tub of ice cream out, so the ice cream were okay?
Then the waffle slowly got cripsier.

dissapointing, max.

Went over to KSL after that, wanted to catch a movie, but we didn't have enough time, and we missed the earlier slot by like 10-15mins.
So, we went walking around instead, shop a little, played arcade.

Pjie and the bear which is almost her height.

Had seafood dinner afterwards, mini celebration for Birthday boy ALFRED.

the sugarcane drink is bigger than the ones chompchomp has.

I WANT TO GO BACK TO JB, RM havent spend finish :(

Thailand Day 4 - time to go home

Last day in Thailand, no time to do any last minute shopping cause we need to get to the airport.
didn't even had breakfast, but brunch instead.

We managed to squeeze our luggies into the mini-van, and ourselves as well.
Good thing the distance frm the Airport ain't that far.

we were travelling here and there before we settled down for brunch,
we wanted to try the SAMURAI PORK burger at MACS, but then, the airport doesn't even have mac :(

AND, it's like the first "proper" meal I had there? Not counting the pasta?

and a few photos before we fly back to Singapore.

and they got this wrapping service for your luggage, prevention of scratches and such.

and then since we are going back, we finished up all the Thai Baht, Tonton and I had left with, ON POCKYs.

home sweet home

Thailand, day 3

Finally, back to the Thailand post, this is Day 3 of the trip.

We woke up early in the morning, just to shop at the Market near us, it's forever changing, and it's different every day, so you can't go, "argh nvm, I will buy it tomorrow" , yah and tomorrow, you can't even find the shop anymore.

I spend like tons there, and only left with less than 100 SGD, I am a shopping freak, it's so damn cheap there anyway, so why not right.
It's like the more you buy, the cheaper is it? "WHOLESALE WHOLESALE" that's what you will always hear there.

Went back to the hotel to put down the barangs, and went to Baiyoke to have our breakfast, it's the same place as what we had for dinner the day before?
Got a breakfast set, love the croissant, max.

Went to the weekend market place, so tiring, and hot, sweating like crazy, and my money were almost gone by then, less than 50SGD I think, I freaking brought 500SGD worth of Thai Baht there ><

practically squeezed in the mini-van.

Went back to the hotel after shopping, rest awhile, and then went for lunch.
Not Thai Food again, this time KFC.
The others wanted the Thai-Indian food, but they U-turned immediately when they went in, talk about smell.

Settled with KFC in the end, and it's like, OMFG.
How can their KFC be so nice? It's tender enough, crispy enough, and it's not dripping oil like Singapore's.
It's like I can totally eat two of it, and not get sick of the taste.
Please bring in the recipe and method to Singapore please.

After Lunch, went for more shopping, went back to Platinum Mall, and that's my shopping haven.
This is the place, where I spend my last bunch of notes, till nothing left.

Thailand is so much love <3

Thailand Day 2

Thailand Day 2

Tonton and I were super tired, we kinda just sleep in, and plan to wake up just nice to meet the others.
BUT, the others woke up early and went for breakfast, and then the two of us missed it instead.

They had breakfast buffet at Baiyoke Sky, while tonton, OC, donald and I went touring the viewing level.
The hotel is like tall, you can like see the cityscape seriously.

Took photos together after their breakfast.

We went to their "paragon", they have an underwater world there. max cool ah?
Since we didn't had breakfast, so ton ton and I had brunch there, Mosburger.

Weird ah, go Thailand, and all we had was fast food till now, and that's not all yet ><

This is the Go-thailand-still-must-drink-starbucks photo

with the stingray mascot from their underwater world.

----

We kinda just went MBK after that.
didn't have much to shop there actually, bought 2 pairs of shoes, and a phone cover, and some snacks.

Had another leg massage session.
It was so random, we saw BB, Joanne, Andy and Carol, and they just asked us to go for massage, so we went along.
Now as I type this, I WANT A MASSAGE SESSION TOO. ><
*CraveS*

---

Had dinner at Baiyoke Sky, a different restaurant from their breakfast buffet.
and I had pasta for Dinner.

Talk about Thailand and Thai food huh? :X

mine dinner

tonton's dinner

PASTA @ Thailand

......

went for some show, and then massage session again.
shall not elaborate on the show.

But felt bad for the massage session, cause of me, the others didn't go for the first one that the driver intro-ed.
No loot photo ><
