Fashion Swop Hauls!!!

I went for this Fashion Swop at Jurong Point
Sochii told me about it.

It's organised by Jurong Point
and there's this Facebook page you can follow

There will be more events up in different locations, so people staying in the other areas do not need to worry.

I did a vlog on my shopping hauls!!!
So take a look at it, and remember to subscribe!!!

http://www.youtube.com/user/cookiejinn

I brought a bag of clothes, paid $5 (for 'admission' but proceeds are all for charity)
and took home 8 items!!
You practically bring your pre-loved and SWOP with the others.

It was quite disappointing, looking at the age of the crowd (aunties),
it's really hard for us to find clothes our types.

Here are photos of some hauls!

Sorry for the bad photos as I was using the laptop camera instead.
Need a tripod, need a ring light. I want pretty photos!

the camisole

dress from topshop

cute dress with pockets

tank from cotton on

before the event end, there was a lucky draw and both of us won.
$10 Espirit vouchers
$5 Prima Deli
$5 Helen

Sochii gave me her Espirit voucher and I got this
It's $26.90, so after using the 2 $10 vouchers, I only need to pay $6.90!

Got some hairbands from Helen too.

Am quite pleased with my hauls :)

Actually, fashion swop is real fun, plus since the proceeds go to charity.
Maybe, I should hold a small one with my friends.
Or even a bigger one, for charity.
Seems fun.

DJ Party 2012 Streetfest

This is the last event I attended for Streetfest and SHINE Youth Festival.
I was really excited, since I have always go for DJ Party if possible and this year there's guest performance from Japan!
Japanese Visual Kei band, sForzato.

It's really exciting cause the vocalist, cedo, is a friend of mine, so it's like a mini gathering of friends who I haven't seen for awhile.

Here's the video highlights for the events.
Though not a lot of friends went for the event, but it's still fun.

Thanks Yiting for accompany me to the event.

Some photos of the day.

Singapore Inter-School Show Choir Competition 2012

Attended the Singapore Inter-School Show Choir Competition 2012 over the weekend with Joyce and TehPeng.

I overslept, as usual, and cabbed down to ACSI for the event.
I seriously need to clear my sleep debts and not take naps so often.
Pardon me, since I didn't had proper sleeping hours and sleeps because of school.

We weren't allowed to film the competition, so here's cuts of the preparations.

I know the video quality ain't very good, but I don't know why, I am unable to upload videos that I exported out from Final Cut.
I don't know whether it's the coding, Quicktime movie, but it should be the common ones used.
So, I had to compress the videos in .mp4 instead, and all the quality get compressed :(

Here are some photos of the performances!!!

It's really cool since it's a brand new thing going on.
show choir was make known and "famous" after the drama series, GLEE
(which remind me that I really need to watch it since I have graduated)

It's like a break through from traditional choir, not that traditional choir isn't good.
But, adding on with performances, dances and even acting so bring the entire choir even more amazing and fun.
It bring lots of smiles to both the audiences and performers.

Yes,
SMILES.
That's the word I have been hearing around the events.
Students telling each others to smile, and even their instructors and teachers too.
SMILES during performances and bring SMILES to the audiences too!

The only thing I couldn't stand throughout the entire show was the flashing colorful spotlights.
To be honest, it was really a big distraction from watching the performances.

Once again, thanks Glee Studios for the opportunity to attend the event :)

Last of all,

CONGRATULATIONS TO

Tampines Secondary School (Category A)
Singapore University of Technology and Design (Category B)

as winners!

[SHINE] A Capella Championship 2012

As part of SHINE, I was down to cover the A Capella Championship 2012 on Saturday 7th July 2012.
If you do not know, I am actually covering SHINE event with video coverage with a Panasonic Camcorder HC-X900M that I was provided during this period.

I only managed to cover the 2nd part of the A Capella Championship 2012 as I had school.
It was held in SP, and I kinda got lost trying to find the venue within SP ><
I mean like, SP is HUGEEE, every poly are huge.
If it's in NP I will most prolly find my way FAST!
Met a NUS Resonance supporter while navigating my way through, and we had to ask the SP students to find our way there. oh my.

The 2nd part of the championship consists of the
COLLEGE, OPEN & INTERNATIONAL category.

College
So Fly
A Capella Group Too
Pitch Please
Vocal Jam
A Capella Group
Rhapsody

Open

Voix-la!
The Tembusa Trouble Makers
The Syncopath
NUS Resonance

International

A-Five (from Korea)

My hand went really soar half way through, filming throughout the event, building all those muscles in my arm!

It was fun though, listening to each group sing, seeing so many talented people out there.

I missed the first group, but here are the cuts of the championship!

Congratulations to A Capella Group (College), NUS Resonance (Open) & A-Five (International) for winning!

Here are the cuts of the winning groups.

Okay, I know I am a little bias with A-Five, but it's not always that you get to see and listen an overseas A Capella group right?

I actually took a video of A Capella Group talking to the camera, or so I thought.
Either I didn't press hard enough, or the camera button not that sensitive enough,
I videoed, I thought I filmed them, but to check later IT WASN'T THERE.

It was too late for me to retake the video as most of the members left the venue.
It's really wasted, and I learn my lesson.
Double check, always.

Oh, and the group from Korea, A-Five is really awesome.
Most of the audience are either supporters, friends or family members.
Yet when A-Five came up stage, the entire place went crazy with them.
I heard shouts of SARANG-HAE (I Love You in Korean)

They are really good, composed their own song.
Released their own album.

Anyway here are some photos.

A Capella Group + A Capella Group Too
I am really very sorry about the video recording if any of you are reading this, but kudos to the performance, really.
Congratulation!

They have their own YouTube group so go check it out

Cookie is vlog-ing!!!!

YES YES YES I am vlog-ing, am actually trying and venturing out to videography?

I always liked videography and that's why I am in this industry right?

So, since I am covering the SHINE Youth Festival as a videographer blogger, so let me start my vlogs!

Really find my voice weird online, haha, like a little "teh" (act cute) and weird accent, it's really awkward.
Then again, it's fun too.
