Canto Kitchen Food Tasting

Thanks to Maybeline, I got to attend this food tasting at Canto Kitchen.

Canto Kitchen is at People's Park Complex.
You have to take the lift opposite CK Department Store to the 5th floor and there you will see Canto Kitchen which is directly opposite Five Stars Tours.

Canto Kitchen started in 2009 by a Cantonese chef with a lot of Cantonese dishes and a Malaysian chef then took over and brought in specialties like fish head curry.

Here are the list of food we got to try that day!
I can say that they are really O-I-SHI!!!
They look nice and taste delicious!

The guy on the picture on top is Sherbert, our host of the day.

first up was Shark's fins.

BRAISED SHARK'S FINS WITH FISH MAW
It's real shark's fin, but seriously, if you people have a choice, please don't eat Shark's Fins.
There is always fish maw as substitute.
Anyway the shark's fins DO taste nice.

Next was FRIED PRAWNS WITH ORANGE SAUCE.
This acts like an appetizer or sort. The sauce is a little strong for some people, but it doesn't taste sour or anything.

This is CHINESE HERBAL ROASTED DUCK, one of my favorite.
I always like roasted duck and chicken, and the herbal taste goes well with it and taste just nice.

This is HOME MADE BEAN CURD WITH CONPOY
The bean curd is soft and even the broccoli texture is just nice.

STEAMED COD FISH WITH CHEF'S SAUCE
It's cod fish, don't even need to say anything.
I always love cod fish.

POACHED SPINACH WITH WHOLE GARLIC AND 3 EGGS.
I don't like garlic, but I like the spinach.

SPARE RIBS WITH YAM IN "ZHEN JIANG" STYLE
The stripped yam here are crispy.
The spare ribs are awesome, they are meaty enough. Always hate eating ribs where most of it are bones only.
I mean, even though they are ribs, I still need meat.

GARLIC STEAMED CRAB WITH GLUTINOUS RICE.
It's Sri Lanka crab, and all of them are female, yes! with eggs!!!
Whenever there is glutinous rice, I only take 1 or 2 bites, but together with the crab and eggs, the rice taste awesome.
The mixture of everything taste super delicious.
The only thing I hate, was to un-shell the crab, haha.

Lastly was dessert, I had mango sago.

I am not forgetting photos with the fellow bloggers.

With Regine @ http://www.xoreginexo.blogspot.sg/ , TehPeng @ http://www.uncletehpeng.com/ and Maybeline @ http://www.maybelinesim.com/
